Possibly the worst ad campaign for some time must be cadbury's horrendously misguided 'happiness' adverts. Here a collection of disturbing stuffed animals (with fake puppeteered movements but realistic-looking enough to appear as though they've been taken from a taxidermists) encourage people to eat chocolate. The narrative of all three adverts would be impossible to explain as they make absolutely no sense. As if this wasn't bad enough the agency responsible has somehow got the tagline 'your happiness loves Cadburys' past the board. This line doesn't work on so many levels it's hard to know where to begin, but mostly it just annoys me.

looking forward to hearing about the debate tomorrow. hopefully it'll work the way it did in the west wing but i'm not sure it'll be that much of a walkover - even though bush is guarenteed to fail spectacularly...
